Dun & Bradstreet is looking for a seasoned professional to join our Infrastructure & Tech Ops Team. You will be part of a group responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting environment configuration management data sources as well as establish a data governance model.

As the CMDB Architect in the Technology Operations team you will join a team of brilliant, friendly, and energetic solutions architects, developers, engineers and project managers who strive to deliver best of breed custom solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for collaborating with business and technology stakeholders, and product teams to develop and articulate the CMDB vision; as well as deliver and sustain the end-to-end customer experience
  • Manage, design, develop, and implement CMDB solutions focusing on ITIL framework, ITOM, ITAM and ITSM
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data model architecture, data extract/transform/load processes, and reporting and analytics
  • Act as the subject matter expert of CMDB Technical design sessions with cross functional Technical and Business Stakeholders
  • Ensure all federated data sources are automated and easily onboarded into the CMDB ingestion framework integrating with discovery tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, Flexera, Snow Software, etc.)
  • Manage, design, develop and implement CMDB health matrix ensuring real time visibility of risk and gaps in incomplete and inaccurate data
  • Create CMDB Onboarding, Data Governance and Policies ensuring best practices and continuous improvements are met
  • Manage, design, develop and implement onboarding of customized CMDB attributes for all CI classes where data cannot be federated
  • Working with various stakeholders, establish and implement CI onboarding and approval workflows to support asset lifecycle policies.
  • Drive process standardization and automation throughout all areas of CMDB
  • Regular review of current data model, processes, procedures and tools
  • Responsible for the data integrity, health and overall relationships for the CMDB
  • Manage, design, develop, and implement a CMDB Platform framework to support IT Operations, Asset Management, and FinOps initiatives to address complex business issues
  • Manage, design, develop and implement automated framework of federated data sources integration to CMDB platform maintaining CI Class, attribute and relationship mapping. Manage the automation and maintenance of non-discoverable data attributes including integration with other asset management systems as required
  • Develop and maintain continuous improvements towards technical implementation, governance and documentation of the CMDB to meet the current and anticipated scope, maintain integrity, and effectively support other ITSM processes such as Incident, Change, and Asset Management
  • Lead the architecture and design of engagements implementing workflows and integrating with applications by gathering requirements, problem resolutions and providing recommendations ensuring the quality of the CMDB data is maintained and all configuration items are correct, complete and compliant
  • Responsible for providing CMDB reporting capabilities for services, asset tracking, administration, and management of support executive sponsors

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5+ years of experience in CMDB Platform Engineering multi-site enterprise environment in both the on premise and cloud architecture supporting technical and business stakeholders
  • Must have 5 years developing on a CMDB platform including creation and/or customization of the core applications such as Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request, Asset, Discovery, CMDB Management, Portal Development, Event Management, etc.
  • Must have 5+ experience in developing automation scripts using SQL, JavaScript, PowerShell, Python with a strong analytical background in data analysis and reporting
  • Must have 5 years of experience designing, developing and maintaining application system integrations operating in varied complex application environments, with database technologies on Cloud/physical/virtual platforms
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
