About the Role:

The Senior Digital Design Engineer will work on Genapsys’ next-generation DNA sequencing solution. This position will support the architecture, design, and validation of our next generation of micro-array CMOS chips, including the design and implementation of FPGAs.
The candidate will actively take part in scaling these key components of our sequencing platform to the next level of integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Support architecture development of our next-generation DNA sequencing micro-array CMOS chip
  • Responsible for the definition and implementation of complex digital IPs
  • Interface with Physical Design team for synthesis, verification, timing closure synthesis, formal verification, timing closure, constraint development, and DFT
  • Interface with Analog Design team to develop digital IPs that interface with Analog IPs

Qualifications:

  • MS with 5+ years of industry experience as a Digital/ASIC Design Engineer and/or SoC Architect lead
  • Experience creating robust RTL architecture for high-speed & high-throughput designs
  • Experience with ASIC implementation in an FPGA
  • Excellent knowledge of Verilog and EDA simulation, implementation, and verification tools from Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor-Graphics
  • Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, CSH, or similar
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented and methodical
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people across multiple functional areas
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills are a must

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with image CMOS sensor and/or image, video capture & processing
  • Experience with High-Speed SerDes Interface
  • Experience with top-level power analysis
  • Experience interfacing with mixed-chip signal IPs and developing Verilog models for mixed-mode verification
