Are you an experienced Software Developer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevSecOps Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow your skillset? Do you want to be part of a team that is helping the government solve major national security challenges in the cyber domain? We need your help.

We are supporting a game changing DevSecOps Platform (DSOP) in support of AFCYBER product development teams to deliver OCO/IW capabilities through robust DevSecOps pipelines and containerized deployments to field operational capabilities faster. Our team is looking for a TS/SCI cleared and experienced DevSecOps Engineer with a broad enterprise background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a highly collaborative, multi-contractor support team while also being embedded directly with government customers. We're looking for team players who are willing to embrace pair programming and possess strong communication skills.

Parsons is seeking an experienced DevSecOps engineer familiar with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines while leveraging services deployed within Kubernetes. This position seeks individuals familiar with microservice architectures, GitOps best practices and modern Day 1 - Day 2 (D1/D2) deployment processes. Experience with DevSecOps in air-gapped and classified environments (S-C2S, C2S, VMWare) would be highly preferred.

The physical working location will be on JBSA-Lackland within a classified facility and also the greater San Antonio (TX) metropolitan area.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DoD TS/SSBI w/ SCI Clearance or TS/SCI eligible
  • U.S. Citizenship is required



Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Possess Certification in DoD 8570.01-M, IASAE Level II or higher at contract award.
  • Experience with common DevSecOps tools to include any of the following: Gitlab, Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, Elastic, Keycloak and Docker.
  • Experience with Gitlab or Jenkins CI processes, pipeline configuration and templates.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMWare infrastructure.
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining applications in CNCF Kubernetes using Helm Charts or Kustomize.
  • Proficient with Git source code versioning and standard Git flow procedures.
  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using Scrum or similar methodology
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills with a desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment and possess a willingness to take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly



Desired Skills

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, or Computer Science and 3+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design.
  • Any experience with the following tools: Helm Charts, Kustomize, Istio Service Mesh, Network Policies, container-based databases, and other Kubernetes approaches.
  • Any experience with GitOps best practices (ArgoCD, Flux, database lifecycle)
  • Experienced with at least one Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool to include: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
  • Experience with developing software using a modern programming language (Python, Groovy, Go, NodeJS, etc.)
  • Experience with application development and deployment using microservices and container architectures.



Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
