Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding and evolving the cloud based enterprise data platform by introducing DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and configuration management. You will establish and enforce the best practices and patterns for DevOps and CI/CD. The ideal candidate continuously strives to replace manual activities by automated scripts, has experience setting up and leveraging infrastructure as a code practices, and has hands on experience with CI/CD tools. The candidate must be self-directed with ability to own and execute DevOps, come up with new ideas, articulate the ideas to the management and stakeholders, and execute on those ideas.

  • Bring code assets under version control. Establish BitBucket best practices for versioning, branching, labeling, and release management.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipeline to automate build and deployment process and rollbacks.
  • Build tools and automation that eliminate work and reduce the time it takes to resolve an issue for public cloud and on-premises resources.
  • Build automation to migrate configuration and metadata through non-production environments and into the production environment.
  • Identify opportunities, design, and implement retry, fault tolerance, failover, and recovery processes.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline preferred
  • 8-10 years of SDLC experience executing projects end to end using agile and waterfall methodologies required.
  • 8-10 years of experience designing and building source code management repositories e.g. GitHub and BitBucket and integrating with the repositories required.
  • 8-10 years of experience designing, building and operationalizing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools required.
  • 6-8 years of experience automating test cases and integrating them in the CI/CD pipeline required.
  • 6-8 years of change management, release management, audit & compliance required.
  • 4-6 years of code and vulnerability scanning and penetration testing. Experience remediating the outcome of such scans required.
  • 4-6 years of deployment and release experience through manual and automated processes. Experience coordinating with the developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and cloud engineering teams to resolve deployment and release issues required.
  • 2-4 years of experience with AWS cloud services: S3, CloudWatch, EMR (Hive), Glue and Glue catalog, Redshift Spectrum, EC2, StepFunctions. Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployment is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience with Service Now, Autosys, and various monitoring tools is required.
  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry required
  • Experience implementing enterprise systems with security best practices and site reliability engineering principles.
  • Expert level knowledge of BitBucket, Jenkins and Confluence
  • Proficient in at least 1 scripting language: Shell, Python, Ruby
  • Proficient in integrating with Service Now, Autosys and various monitoring tools
  • Deep understanding of the data platforms, data pipelines, design and development considerations around data partitioning, job scheduling, data versioning, data import/export, archival, and schema management
  • Proficient in integrating with the following AWS Cloud Services: S3, CloudWatch, EMR (Hive), Glue and Glue catalog, Redshift Spectrum, EC2, StepFunctions
  • Experience as a DevOps engineer, site reliability engineer, system administrator with on premise and AWS cloud platform.
  • Experience using infrastructure as a code framework such as TerraForm, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Ansible.
  • Experience supporting non-production data environments to support testing of various functional and non-functional usages and requirements.
  • Must have system design thinking, ability to plan and author technical documents. Require problem solving, and prioritization skills. Need ability to articulate new ideas and explain them to all level in the organization.
  • Expertise in working with colleagues throughout the firm and in leading collaborative teams to achieve common goals. Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
