Description
This position is in the Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) joint venture. The successful candidate will be designing, releasing, validating, and documenting installation parts and kits to support grade control on construction equipment. The candidate will also provide oversight to design control activities involving software and component releasing. The candidate will work closely with marketing, engineering, program management, and manufacturing teams to release high quality products for the earthmoving and paving industries. Travel (including international) is less than 20%.
Job Duties
Collaborate on team projects with shared responsibilities
Transform concepts into 3D part models and assemblies
Validate designs in the intended application
Develop technical assembly instructions
Oversee the process of releasing Software and Electronic components
Basic Qualifications
4 year bachelor's degree in an applied Mechanical/Electrical/Ag Engineering or Engineering technology
Ability to work on & around construction machinery
Effective written and oral communication
Adaptable to the evolving technology environment
Basic shop skills and metal fabrication skills
Top Candidates will also have
Familiar with ProE/Creo/Teamcenter
Working knowledge of 3D CAD modeling
Ability to document current and define new processes
Ability to lead meetings and teams to generate consensus
Additional Information
The location for this position is Mossville, IL.
Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
This position will require up to 10% travel.
