About the Role
You will work very closely as a bridge between front end engineering, infrastructure, & operations/support. You will use various methods to deliver solutions to clients around data quality and consistency. Overall, you’ll strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.
To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to see a broad picture of the data environment and how all of the data works together. Data engineering skills involve a mastery of SQL (both DML and DDL), and also familiarity with other programming languages and development methodologies.
What You'll Do...
- Become an expert in the data model, identify and help resolve deficiencies
- Identify, troubleshoot, and be involved in the fixing of data inconsistencies
- Work with clients to answer data reporting questions regarding basic sales and accounting data
- Be instrumental in the design and building of systems to better automate troubleshooting of data issues
- Provide robust solutions to a variety of data focused problems as they arise
- Assist DevOps with tuning or refactoring poorly performing code and processes
What You Bring...
- Advanced SQL skills with the understanding of how to write and tune complex queries in MS SQL Server
- A mastery of textbook and practical normalization concepts and techniques
- Experience in mining, aggregating, and transforming complex data sets
- Ability to consolidate data from disparate sources
- Familiarity with navigating and reading C# and REACT code, and Azure technologies
- Ability to leave your engineering mind and see things from an end user / client's perspective
