As a Senior Database Software Engineer, you're expected and empowered to be your best, to grow and develop your skills. Be prepared to move quickly, to engage proactively, and to think strategically.
The Senior Database Engineer will have a primary focus on architecting and building data driven applications using PL/SQL and Perl to load, manipulate, and present data. Solutran developers work closely with product managers, business analysts and management. This position provides the right person an opportunity to not only build applications, but also have direct input into product development.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop data driven applications using PL/SQL and Perl
• Develop database functions and stored procedures (Oracle)
• Performance tune SQL
• Participate in application and database design
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development process
• Test/debug software
• Off-hours support as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

• PL/SQL, Perl, ASP.Net, MVC.NET, C#
• Oracle RDBMS (10g/11g)
• Microsoft Windows

• Oracle Exadata experience
• Banking / Financial industry knowledge
• Agile/Scrum participation

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
