Job Description:

Are you ready to be part of a brand-new cybersecurity project management office that will help build the necessary project management infrastructure and resources to support cyber vulnerability assessments of weapons and space systems? If you're interested in leveraging your training development skills to truly make an impact in improving our nation's security, we have the ideal role for you to kick off your new career at Parsons!

On our recently awarded program, you'll get the chance to leverage your existing cybersecurity skills to provide unique support to major weapons and space systems cyber assessments. Strong Cyber and technical background needed. Supporting the PMO in different areas of technical evaluation, identifying technical gaps in previous assessments, experience with attach path creation / threat intelligence a plus. Prior CNO (Computer Network Operations), OCO(Offensive Cyber Operations), DCO(Defensive Cyber Operations) experience desired.

In this role you will:

  • Provide systems engineering/cybersecurity support to weapons and space cybersecurity assessments
  • Agnostic of threat, help translate adversarial mindset, threat intelligence into actionable mitigations within possible areas of CNO and CND (Computer Network Defense), System design, Network architecture / administration, Continuity of Operations, and ICS/ SCADA
  • Evaluate different vulnerability findings and determine conceptual mitigations / next steps
  • Support Risk Management and other business process frameworks to close the gap between technical and non technical understanding of threats/vulnerabilities
  • Ensure that evaluation/mitigation techniques are technically sound. Ensure the technical solution articulates the mission impact and threat effectively


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, with 5+ years in Cybersecurity and vulnerability analysis
  • Experience with Cybersecurity / System Engineering and vulnerability analysis. Experience with prioritization of vulnerabilities and understanding of mission impacts
  • Working knowledge of the DoD Information Network (DODIN), DoD IT system and network certification and accreditation processes (i.e., RMF), to include system security authorization agreements and current and emerging cybersecurity threats
  • Possess working knowledge of DoD's IT systems and network certification and accreditation processes to include system security authorization agreements
  • Strong leadership and self-starting skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and use different process / methods when needed

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
