Senior Cyber Engineer
Description
NASA EAST 2 AAO Cyber Team cyber security analyst:
Monitor AAO's applications and environments to include local, remote, virtual and cloud-based assets.
Hands-on technical position that responds to security incidents including gathering, analyzing and presenting forensic evidence for cyber malware and intrusions.
Perform data analytics seeking, identifying and confirming cyber threats, risks and vulnerabilities to both application and network environments.
Perform risk analysis of proposed capabilities resulting in specific technical recommendations for improving security and/or mitigating cyber risk to the supported Lines of Business.
Candidate should have technical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of the Risk Management. The ability to work independently and within a larger group of engineers and cybersecurity professionals will be required.
Written and verbal communication skills are necessary for updating POAM items, standard operating procedures and offering up possible courses of action for the management of risk is ongoing.
Candidate will research NASA policy and complete various security tasking.
Qualifications Required Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, 10+ years of related experience in an academic, government or commercial environment is required. Technical certification(s): Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). Clearance: Secret

- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
- Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
