The team is currently looking for one Senior Data Architect to join their team.Boeing is transforming its business and adopting a data centric culture. This position will drive the transformation by collaborating and working closely with engineering, manufacturing, data science functions and gather requirements from business leaders. Data Architect will be building solutions that include data modeling, technology selection, solution design, process design, and execution. The said position will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other common service functions, interact with the most innovative and diverse people around the globe. Position Responsibilities :

• Drive strategic roadmaps, capabilities development and maturation aligned to data products industry standard taxonomy including an emphasis on future state modern cloud native solutions.
• Perform data architecture, data migration, data modeling, data access, data integration, data cataloging, data governance and implementation techniques.
• Understand and provide solutions to the integration team for data migration, APIs and Microservices.
• Understand various data models across different Boeing functions (Engineering, Manufacturing, Defense, Commercial and Global Services) to drive patterns and playbooks for automation to manage "data as a product".
• Work with larger product management community to identify gaps and provide solutions, and influence the Program Increment planning for Platform Services for data products and features.
• Design and participate in defining end-solutions that will evolve with future business needs and satisfy diverse set of requirements including ETL/ELT, OLTP, OLAP, searches, pattern matching, data mining and data warehouse.
• Work very closely with product managers, Database Administrators and business data architects to define technical product requirements and collaborate within agile team to drive user story/tasks creation along with design and development activities.
• Automation using DevOps/DevSecOps, apply machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence and other available tools to expedite the product development along with First Time Quality.
• Participate in group sessions within developer community and share knowledge.
• Mentors team members and contribute in creating and maintaining best coding practices and oversight using stringent reviews.
• Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution.
• Monitor the implementation of architecture throughout the system development lifecycle and seek and provide clarification when needed.
• Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Minimum 10+ years' experience on data architecture, multi-modal databases and administration activities.
• At least 5+ years' experience with data modeling, data design, customer facing applications support and timely communication with executives.
• At least 5+ years' experience on working with geographical spread teams across time zones.
• At least 5+ years Software Development experience in Agile SAFe methodology?
• At least 5+ years' experience on interaction with business architects, data science and business executives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in software testing including automated testing is desirable.
• Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
• Should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred knowledge in Internet-based applications and development like ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
• Displays excellent oral and written communication skills to team members, peers, customers and management
• Strong interpersonal skills - Capable of working as a member of a team, maintaining one's composure in difficult situations.
• Collaborate effectively with other team members
• Experience in Windows and UNIX operating systems
• Ability to take given specifications and generate code for functional applications
• Ability to test and debug developed applications
• Ability to document all program and application development
• Ability to develop good user interfaces
