Senior Computer Programmer
GDIT is looking for a Senior Computer Programmer in the Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities:
• Designs, develops, deploys, and maintains operating systems and operating system software.
• Installs enhancements and performs updates to software of existing systems, including middleware and application programs that run on the system.
• Performs troubleshooting of problems and provides customer support for software systems and application issues.
• Debugs problems with system software. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Performs maintenance tasks to keep systems running smoothly.
• Writes and updates test procedures and programs.
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
• May serve as a team or task lead.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, from an ABET accredited program.
Qualifications:
• Seven (7) years of professional experience in software development in engineering and/or control using C++; Two (2) years of professional experience in software development using Microsoft .NET Framework.
• Two (2) years of professional experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop, compile, and debug source code in C++/CLI, Managed C++, or C#. One (1) year of professional experience as a technical and/or programming lead for a software project through the software life cycle, from requirements to design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
• One (1) year of professional experience designing and/or analyzing software architectures.
• One (1) year of professional experience writing, reviewing, and maintaining new or existing software requirements, technical documentation such as user manuals, product specifications, and training materials.
• One (1) year of professional experience troubleshooting VME and/or PLC based systems for the U.S. Navy. Experience on LCS ships desired.
• Possess or ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Certifications Required:
• CSSLP or ECSP or bachelor's degree from accredited University
• Windows or Linux OS Certification
