CNSI is currently looking for an experienced Cognos Developer with SQL skills to join our growing team!

As a Senior Cognos Developer, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development of Cognos Reports for large MMIS (Medicaid Management Information System) systems. You will be involved in both new system implementation as well as operations and maintenance of existing systems as part of the Managed Services - COTS team and will report directly to the COTS Services Manager.

*Position is remote, butcandidates based in Atlanta, GA or Washington DC (MD, VA, or DC) area preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support system design, develop and implement components of the IBM Cognos and maintain or modify Cognos reports
  • Collaborative with Development team and Business Analysis team to understand system design and function
  • Develops code using PL/SQL as system design and coding standards need and performs unit testing
  • Analyzes code to review errors and participates in review sessions
  • Support System Integration testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance testing of Cognos Reports
  • Create and maintain artifacts as needed by the project
  • Update Lead/Manager of all Reports related activities, issues, and risks
  • Work with offshore team to complete development activities
  • Supports Senior Development staff in completing the gap analysis and impact of system softwarechanges

Experience/Preferred Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of work experience as related to the job responsibilities listed above
  • 5+ years experience with IBM Cognos development
  • 2+ years of Oracle SQL experience a must
  • Proven track record of development capabilities building complex reports
  • Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)
  • Adaptable to project and task changes, ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Healthcare industry or government health and human service program experience would be "a plus"
