The Security & Compliance team helps to improve our security posture as we begin building our security and compliance programs. We will provide subject matter expertise on authentication, authorization, and other security implementations. Also coordinating security operations, including incident response, vendor risk management, asset management, security awareness training, privilege management, monitoring/detection, and other security and compliance processes.
If you’re passionate about Securing our cloud environments and protect Codecademy and our learners by collaborating with the Infrastructure Engineering team to improve visibility of cloud resources and secure configuration management of infrastructure, this is the team for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build tools to prevent, detect and automate remediation of misconfigurations and in our secure cloud infrastructure
- Implement safeguards and countermeasures
- Participate in incident response, including monitoring, triaging, and investigation of security events and incidents
- Develop monitoring and detectives capabilities
- Enhance our testing, monitoring, and continuous deployment infrastructure
- Improve visibility of cloud resources and secure configuration management of infrastructure.
- Vulnerability management, including implementation of automated scanning tools and applying patches
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Minimum of 5 years of cloud security experience
- Extensive expertise securing AWS cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with containerization technologies. Kubernetes, Terraform, EC2, ECS, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.
- Strong Python, scripting, or other languages
- Passionate about learning new things and excited to share knowledge
- Proven ability to collaborate with Engineers and other stakeholders
