As a member of the Global Quality and Reliability team, you will be a guardian of Micron's brand in the fastest growing market for DRAM products, Cloud computing. We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to drive Micron's DRAM Cloud product quality and reliability execution and strategy.
The Senior Quality Engineer position is currently remote based, but must be located or willing to relocate to Boise, ID, San Jose, CA OR Seattle WA.
Responsibilities

• Build and sustain strong partnerships across adjacent product quality and engineering organizations driving to Best in Class quality and reliability
• Collaborate with Cloud enablers and Datacenter customers to innovate and improve the overall stability and performance of the cloud
• Perform risk assessments and predict customer experience based on internal data and metrics
• Drive Cloud product internal reliability methodology, monitors, metrics, and specifications
• Failure analysis as it pertains to the Cloud space and different DRAM architectures to improve correctability
• Analyze and debug performance and ECC issues from customer telemetry data
• Drive resolution of Cloud product quality events and escalations
• Advise senior and executive management in relation to Cloud strategic decisions and escalations
• Communicate issues and corrective actions to cross-functional teams and upper management
• Serve as a Cloud technical expert within Global Quality

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 8+ years combined experience in computer architecture, cloud computing, and/or semiconductor product engineering
• Good Understanding of Device Physics, DRAM Reliability, CMOS
• Knowledge of DRAM operation
• Experience with AMD, Intel, or ARM processor
• Experience performing system level debut
• Strong organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects at same time
• Quality and Reliability experience is a plus
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills
• Highly effective, strong collaboration and teamwork skills
• Excellent analytical, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of how DRAM memory is used in systems and end-customer solutions
• Experience working in any Cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)
• Understanding of Cloud compute infrastructure including bare metal, virtual machines, and other cloud implementations

Education

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, computer science or equivalent required
