This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
• Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
• Passionate about building an innovative culture
• 7+ years of professional experience as Software Engineer, Applications Developer, Data Engineer or similar experience

Responsibilities:

• Engage in ETL design discussions and ETL architecture discussions using AbInitio, Spark, Talend or any other equivalent batch processing platform for large scale analytics.
• Develop technical specification documents and generic/reusable frameworks.
• Design and code batch data integration using a variety of platforms and tools from open source to proprietary like AbInitio or internal DPL.
• Design and develop ETL real time data integration flows using Kafka, Spark and Cassandra.
• Familiarity with cloud native applications - 12 factors and DevOps practices.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior staff.
• Participate in design reviews / code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
• Identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues and review and provide feedback to the final user.
• Help develop code migration strategies from one environment to the other.
• Assume ownership and accountability for the assigned deliverables through all phases of the development lifecycle. Develop and document strategies / standards to support the ETL framework and infrastructure.
• Ensure that risk / controls, security, and data management policies are followed.
