This Architecture role forms part of the Enterprise Services and Integration team within Global Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the solutions architecture across both End User and Application platforms, working at the intersection of technology and business strategy, leading organizational, operational and technology change now and in the future. You will therefore have a proven track record in the delivery of End User and application platform strategy, advancing the business and technology product roadmaps. Your significant contribution to development and implementation of strategy and policy is enabled by your expert knowledge of technology architecture principles and software development practices and tools. You have an understanding of product based organization and are comfortable working in an agile framework. Your natural engagement and collaboration skills will allow you to harness the collective creativity of our technologists around the world.
Role Expectations:

  • Define the target state architecture for the Global Technology End User platforms, optimizing the business value from both the CTO and Global Technologies products, delivering best-in-class End User solutions for today's and tomorrow's needs.
  • Provide Solutions Architecture for the Global Technology products ensuring that the firm's platforms and blueprints are effectively leveraged.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers across the Global Technology, LOB and the firm, aligning cross-functional and cross-product requirements, ensuring they are secure, technically sound and fiscally reasonable.
  • Engagement with senior stakeholders across all technology lines of business, ensuring adherence to the division's plans and expected outputs, while fostering an environment of collaboration and shared success
  • Develop the rolling multi-year roadmap and maintain aligned to our business client and technology strategy and priorities
  • provide guidance around adoption and influence product development teams on roadmaps and design.
  • Be a people leader across Global Technology, championing and driving people, hub and domain events across the organization


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Architecture experience in a similar sized company and related industry
  • Degree and /or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Engineering, Science or related technical field.
  • Solid Application Architecture/Design concepts: client/server, n-tier, design patterns, cloud
  • Design for production: resilience, scalability, availability, performance, security, etc
  • Solid expertise in coding and development
  • Good understanding of Web Services, Messaging, Datastores, Networking, Storage, Container Deployments, Data Streaming, Data Lake, Data Warehouse
  • Continuous Integration Builds, deployment and release processes knowledge
  • Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform
  • Cloud Computing Fabrics knowledge / PaaS - AWS, Azure, CloudFoundary, etc
  • Insight into core financial systems and understanding of the industry
  • Proven experience in End User solutions for large scale internet companies/ , where uptime and continuous availability was core to the business
  • Expert knowledge of desktop virtualization, remote access, physical desktops. Mobile devices, Voice services and collaboration services.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of software engineer and/or site reliability engineering of Citrix, VMWare, vSphere, MS Windows Terminal Server and MS Application virtualization solutions.
  • Broad understanding of the technologies utilized across the CI/CD, SRE and public cloud domains, able to rationalize and assess pros and cons of technical alternatives
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, to explain and influence both business and technical stakeholders and partners at all levels
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and drive multiple agendas in a fast-paced and constantly changing environments
  • Expertise working in an Agile project environment and the ability to operate development and architecture discussion forums, through a deep understanding of current tools and techniques
  • Highly driven and results orientated: Drives results through people, communication, influence and interaction
