We are looking to hire a full stack Software Engineer to focus on the backend development of our web and mobile applications. Reporting directly to our Director of Engineering, you will contribute in all facets of the development lifecycle including architectural design, implementation, qualification, delivery, and maintenance.

You will...

  • Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
  • Translate software requirements and/or visual design into stable, working, high-performance software
  • Play a pivotal role in architectural and design decisions, building efficient and easily maintainable services
  • Learn and integrate third-party libraries into our applications
  • Communicate technical design, requirements, functionality, and limitations of systems/applications
  • Be willing to wear different hats other than that of a developer when necessary such as QA engineer, tech support and DevOps

You have...

  • Several years of experience in developing, maintaining, and innovating on consumer applications
  • Experience developing REST APIs for Web and Mobile applications, GraphQL experience is a huge plus
  • Ability to write code in high-level languages such as Java, GoLang, etc.
  • Experience working in Amazon AWS technologies such as ECR, ECS, S3, Amplify, RDS
  • Outstanding problem solving, debugging, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL Databases
  • Knowledge of Microservices, server-less technologies and other architectures
  • Experience with modern JavaScript web application frameworks is a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently in fast-paced environments with heavy autonomy

After all, she’s striving for a future of 500 HQ connectors. “The challenge of helping our culture flex from startup to scaleup is truly rewarding,” she said. Between supporting connectors to level up their career through coursework, leadership development training, and monthly lunch and learns ranging from personal finance to ethically running a business, Sproul believes that education is key to a mutually beneficial work relationship. “I get to wear a lot of hats and love the variety of it all!”

Being one of the company’s earliest employees and a founding member of its DEI committee has allowed him to shape the culture into the inclusive organization it has blossomed into. “We are truly creating a more diverse community where everyone feels they are valued,” he said. Within the last year, he’s also helped launch the biggest company-wide celebration of Black History Month with name drop-worthy speakers and donations to Black-owned businesses.
As a proud African American, it was crucial that Resende see himself represented at connectRN — so he carved out the space to make it happen. In 2021, we hosted our very first Juneteenth celebration and it left me at a loss for words! I’ve never worked at a company before that celebrated Black holidays, and it really made me feel included.

Building a quality assurance team from scratch is no small feat, but Ladugina isn’t afraid to take a challenge into her own hands. “After joining the company, I did a proof of concept to find the best automation framework,” Ladugina said. “With the use of Cypress, the team was able to decrease release testing time from 3 to 1.5 days.” That kind of initiative, supported by engineer-led lunch and learns or internal retros, have helped Ladugina build trust between teams while streamlining complex projects. “I have the opportunity to define quality processes and make the product more reliable.”
