Opportunity 

This position is an exciting opportunity to join a small team within a successful company to deliver robust data solutions and insights! The team is small now, but growing fast and already staffed with Senior Data Engineers and Developers with a ton of experience. You’ll work closely with these people on a daily basis, gain great new experience, and have the opportunity to make an impact on major data projects!

What You’ll Do

• Join an exciting and challenging new team of engineers working on solving complex data architecture problems and delivering high-quality APIs to empower many other initiatives in the company
• Develop scalable, robust, and rich backend solutions to solve complex business problems
• Take ownership of features and drive them from development to production
• Maintain a high degree of engagement, productivity, and code quality
• Foster a collaborative culture and inclusive work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of professional work experience with languages and tools like Go, JavaScript, SQL
• Experience with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB a major plus
• Experience writing secure, RESTful APIs along with performant database queries
• A strong understanding of distributed software architecture including development of microservices on AWS
• Understanding of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment methodologies and technologies
• Expertise with software testing frameworks and methodologies
• Expertise in mentoring and developing junior developers
• Experience in software observability in a distributed environment
• Experience in mentorship through code reviews and technical discussions
• Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders, product owners and users
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
