Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it's necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Want to build the future of code collaboration at a company built by developers for developers?
Does working on a project that serves millions of end-users float your boat?
Are you an experienced software developer who's passionate about building, debugging, and optimizing SaaS software running at scale?
Bitbucket Cloud is looking to add a Backend Software Engineer to its Admin Experience team! Development on Bitbucket is collaborative and thoughtful, and we've got a wide array of challenging but rewarding problems to solve. Bitbucket's Admin Experience team owns all of the features and user workflows that Atlassian's largest customers depend on. Working on this team will allow you to build tools allowing millions of developers to collaborate, manage, and ship their code. We believe in being opinionated about the development process while allowing users to work in the way that's best for them, and our design, product, and engineering teams work in concert to understand our users in order to deliver key pieces of functionality that drive teams towards success.
As a developer on Bitbucket, you'll get to work on a set of systems and services solving the challenges unique to distributed version control and team collaboration. We're a full-stack development team that frequently collaborates with Atlassian's platform engineering teams as well as the teams across Bitbucket to solve problems. You'll have the opportunity to not only shape the Admin Experience team but also to be a leader with Bitbucket and Atlassian. We believe in setting aside time to innovate as well as time to learn and grow your knowledge and skillset. You can't innovate effectively if you don't understand the system you're innovating and technologies available, and so we believe in making investments in learning as well as teaching in order to be a highly effective engineering organization.
