Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing is seeking a Senior AvionX Tools and Application Engineer to join our team supporting AvionX product lines.
This position can be supported in either Plano, Texas; Hazelwood, Missouri; Berkeley, Missouri; Long Beach, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; or Mesa, Arizona.
Position Responsibilities:

• Defines and validates requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems within the AvionX development environment
• Leads the design, development and test of applications and systems. Hands-on and active development of new applications and system is expected
• Leads development of trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for users
• Facilitates development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes.
• Leads and coordinates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements
• Performs and supports debugging activities to resolve application and system issues when they arise
• Executes cross-functional communication for all matters involving tools and applications within AvionX
• Coordinates with engineering teams, Information Technology (IT), and business unit partners to develop and execute technology roadmaps and address any tool/application issues
• Utilizes multiple technology platforms to define/implement scripts to enable execution of test automation frameworks across multiple product lines
• Works under minimal direction

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
• 2+ years of experience with RestAPI
• 3+ years of experience implementing and learning new technologies
• 3+ years of experience with Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) integration in a Linux or Windows Environment
• 3+ years of experience with cloud deployment and environment provisioning
• 3+ years of experience with scripting activities in a Linux or Windows environment
• 3+ years of experience developing software using Docker or Kubernetes for container based applications
• 3+ years of experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• 5+ years of experience with technical trouble-shooting, debugging and optimization

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Self-Starter
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with Smartbear Collaborator admin expertise
• Experience with JIRA or equivalent admin expertise
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
• Experience with testing automation
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with Atlassian Product family
• Experience with Application development experience in one or more programming languages such as C#/C-Sharp, .NET, Java, C, C++, FORTRAN and Web/HTML technologies (Javascript, jQuery, HTML5, web services, REST, microservices etc.), Config Management tools like Azure DevOps(ADO)/TFS, Git and others
• Experience with Nexus
• Experience with scripting languages such as, ACL, SQL Developer, Oracle, XML, MySQL, Python
• Experience with Cloud Native Development
• Experience using experience using and deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Microsoft Azure

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $80,010 - $148,590
