At Workday Time Management we provide an end-to-end solution to cater for all aspects of worker's Time Tracking and worker's Time Offs.

About the Role

The Workforce Management development team is currently seeking a software developer in test/ automation engineer (at multiple levels) who is passionate about technology and delivering next generation of automation solutions.As part of Workday's technology organization, you will work closely with the product team in designing and building automation suites that utilize innovative tools and frameworks. These suites run as part of our continuous development environment and help safeguard our continuous release strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of automated testing efforts for Workforce Management applications
  • Research and investigate new automation technologies
  • Design, develop and debug automated functional tests for Workday applications
  • Work closely with development teams and functional QA teams
  • Diagnose functional issues, report bugs, and take ownership of issue resolution
  • Train and mentor other team members on an ad hoc basis


About You

Desired skills and experience:

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SDLC and concepts
  • Experience with and understanding of OO concepts and programming languages such as Java, XML, C++ and C#
  • Strong technical analysis and problem-solving skills to convert functional requirements into technical tasks


Other Qualifications

  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline setup and monitoring in Jenkins/Bamboo
  • Experience with Unit testing frameworks such as Junit
  • Working knowledge of testing API through tools such as POSTMAN, CURL, or SoapUI
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with a high degree of attention to detail, with a passion for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of the feature starting from test planning, execution, and automation
  • Proven automation testing and manual testing experience with a methodical approach to driving automation and test strategy
  • Experience in test automation frameworks, design, development and test strategy and test plan development
  • Experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks
  • Demonstrable ability to balance multiple priorities and communicate across teams
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development process
