Copper is looking for a Sr QA Automation Engineer to join Copper's QA engineering team. To be part of our transformation and create an end to end automation using Playwright framework. Develop, and prioritize the features coverage and support quality releases of the Web Applications.

This role reports into an Engineering Manager and is a fully-remote position anywhere in Canada. You will work closely with our product and engineering team members located in North America and Africa.

Our tech stack for the Copper webapp is Ruby on Rails, Resque, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, and ember.js. On the mobile side, we have native Android and iOS applications.

What you'll do …

• Run regression testing for Copper Core Web Applications
• Create test plans for testing new features
• Convert existing manual regression tests into automated test solutions
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and design to test and ensure high quality products are released to customers
• Participate with the development team discussions to advise on and influence the roadmap

What you'll bring …

• 4+ years of experience writing automated tests
• Ability to own the testing process on Web Application platforms
• Ability to communicate and work effectively across time zones
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools desired (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, Qase)
• Experience with JavaScript/Typescript
• Experience with a popular web application testing framework (Playwright, puppeteer, Cypress…)
• Nice to have: Java Language with Selenium Framework
