Senior Associate System Engineer
Job Description:
IT Professional graduate who will be administered a TPF Mainframe overview class providing insight and knowledge base for a career supporting the IBM zTPF environment in multiple potential phases (Operator, Coverage, Database, Communications, Development, Automation, Test Systems). Job duties include the supporting and delivery of critical data to our National Travel and Transportation clients.
Individual could be involved with the console monitoring, change management, incident/problem management, software design/maintenance, communication management, Development platform creation/maintenance, Automation (Augmented Intelligence, Realtime graphical interfaces, Auto submission of jobs/utilities), and test system management. Being able to apply IT professional services learned and gained thru education and on the job training.
IT Technician Skills/Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of relevant Operating Systems, Software, and programming.

- Mainframe Assembler a plus
- Java
- C # / C ++
- HTML
. Software developer courses and aptitude in the following
- Coding languages
- Database structure/knowledge
- Source control
- Testing procedures
- Debugging knowledge
. Ability to follow documented processes and procedures, to guarantee the uninterrupted delivery of service, performance, and availability of multiple Transaction Processing Facility (TPF) environments.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills within a high-pressure environment. A keen attention to detail with good organization, time management and prioritization details.
• Efficient troubleshooting abilities, along with communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening and note taking.
Qualifications of Senior Associate System Engineering:
• 3-6 years of related IT technical work experience showing competency for development.
. High school graduate required, University/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work under pressure
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, or rotating shift schedules, as part of a 24x7x365 support organization
