Leveraging world-class techniques and tools, our Senior Advanced Cyber Security Engineers work in partnership with Aerospace and Defense development teams to ensure our products and services are secure by design and by default.

The Senior Advanced Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for providing application and system level security expertise and mentoring to Aerospace and Defense development community. As an integral member of our global product security community, support product security process activities including threat modeling, security requirements, security reviews, and threat vulnerability assessments for all software and firmware development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts with the development teams to manage product risk and apply the appropriate security controls
  • Provide product security related coaching and security expertise for all software and firmware development teams in Aerospace and Defense business
  • Drive best in class security requirements into product and service offerings
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional activities for incident response
  • Ensure compliance of Aerospace & Defense cyber certification processes and verify correctness and completeness of required artifacts
  • Lead new project deployments and initiatives that add value to SDL processes and procedures
  • Lead efforts of mentoring and training the engineering development community and facilitate adoption of shift-security-to-left practice


YOU MUST HAVE

  • 2+ years of experience in project management and driving large initiatives with engineering teams
  • 6+ years Cyber Security or Information Technology experience
  • Must be a US citizen due to contractual obligations


WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security or Information Technology
  • Familiarity with Aerospace industry and the FAA compliance process.
  • Information Security accreditation (CISSP/CSSLP or other security related certifications)
  • Software development experience with DevOps (CI/CD) & SDLC
  • Developing secure systems, web application penetration testing or application security consultant
  • Azure, AWS or GCP Security or Solutions Architecture certifications
  • Experience with widely used security tools like SD Elements, BlackDuck Hub, Microsoft Threat modeling tool, SAST (Coverity, SonarQube), DAST (Burp, ZAP, AppSpider), Fuzzing, Vulnerability management and continuous monitoring tools
  • Sound understanding of Cryptography, encryption algorithms, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Secure boot and Open-source risk management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among stakeholders
