Security Testing Specialist Sr. ( Penetration Tester )

As a Penetration Tester, you will be apart of PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization. This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.
Essential Functions
• Perform manual and automated security testing of applications, infrastructure, and public cloud platforms to identify and validate vulnerabilities.• Experience in testing, or familiarity with, digital identity and authentication standards and products such as OAuth, SAML, PingFederate, or Okta.• Develop and maintain application security testing techniques and documentation for identification vulnerabilities in web, mobile, and cloud-based applications.• Demonstrate in depth knowledge of common vulnerabilities including how to identify, exploit, and remediate them.• Explain complex security vulnerabilities and their associated risk to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.• Continuously enhance penetration testing methodologies at manager discretion.

Job Description
- Provides subject matter expertise for security testing capabilities. Carries out manual and automated security testing of applications, infrastructure, and/or platforms to discover security vulnerabilities.
- Performs manual & automated security testing.
- Performs manual testing to validate vulnerabilities.
- Creates reports and review test results with stakeholders.
- Assists in the design and implementation of security solutions and continuously enhances information security approaches and methodologies at manager discretion.
- Provides subject matter expertise. Lead and mentor at manager discretion.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
