About the Role
Our NinjaOne Security Engineer is pivotal to our organization providing company-wide solutions for individual team members to executive leadership. As part of our information technology team, you will directly contribute to the user experience of our 10,000+ customers. Help own and solve challenges that include responding to security incidents, developing, and documenting incident management procedures, and investigating security vulnerabilities in our environment and applications. Impact the company by applying a multi-layered approach to data privacy and information security and engrain cybersecurity into the NinjaOne culture.
Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and in one of the following states- TX, FL, CA, NC, GA, or ME. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL
What You'll be Doing

• Review, investigate, perform forensics, and remediate security events.
• Develop and document processes, procedures, and runbooks to respond to security incidents within Ninja's environment.
• Perform threat hunting and threat intelligence.
• Drive security engineering projects to eliminate attack vectors, harden the platform, and enhance detection and monitoring capabilities.
• Influence the technical direction of our products by providing guidance to ensure that new features and services are built with security and privacy in min.
• Review the latest news or findings in the cybersecurity spaces.
• Provide data and information to help guide executive leadership.
• Other duties as needed

About You

• 3+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Center
• 2+ years working in an Incident Response team
• Expertise with digital forensics, incident response and the tools used for DFIR, such as Wireshark, Sleuth Kit/Autopsy, FTK, Caine, EnCase, etc
• Expertise with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Strong knowledge of the functionality and capabilities of network defense technologies, such as ACLs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and web content filtering
• Experience with common exploitation techniques and tools
• Deep understanding of the threat landscape and techniques to defend against them - including tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Experience with cloud technologies- AWS, GCP, Azure, or others
• Ability to develop automation to complement and integrate existing security tools
• Bachelors degree in technology preferred or equivalent working education
• CISSP, OSCP, CISA, CEH, or GDAT certifications.

Additional Information
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $120,000 to $185,000 per year.
