SDV Automated Driving System Integration Engineer
Description
Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 days per week.

This position involves collaborative hands on vehicle testing, data analysis and problem solving. You will work closely with the perception to define new test scenarios, along with sensor performance and capability engineers to exceed customer expectations. Creativity, initiative, and autonomy are vital to this cross-organizational team responsible to develop, evaluate and gather quality data sets.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform sensor capability development, testing and analysis.
- Develop, test, and document new feature and sensing system metrics.
- Support proof-of-concept hardware and software advancement for new programs and applications.
- Collaborate with system engineering to establish and improve sensor requirements to meet perception and feature performance.
- Problem solve and root cause system level issues
Additional Description
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical degree
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in an automotive or related industry
- Experience with data analysis or statistical analysis tools
- Demonstrated ability to root cause complex problems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and establish peer relationships
- Project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects with changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science degree in related field
- Experience with lidar, camera, or radar sensors
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python/Matlab
