Infosys is seeking a Scala Developer - This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.• Experience in Scala

Preferred Qualifications:• At least 5 years of Strong hands-on experience in SCALA programming• Experience in design, development, and deployment of BI solutions using Data Bricks• Expertise with data analysis using Scala.• Experience with Azure data bricks DevOps (Deployment, Integration, version controletc.)• Experience with relational databases skills (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL)• Familiarity with Spark is a plus.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various stakeholders• High self-motivation and strong delivery focus• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Excellent team working skills• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
