Overview

The Salesforce Developer II will be part of the Dealer Services business team providing business application solutions to enhance dealers' experience while doing business with GM Financial. Day to day activities will involve developing on the Salesforce.com platform, creating VisualForce Pages/Apex Classes and providing technical documentation. Responsibilities also include researching and implementing new technology solutions not necessarily limited to the Salesforce.com platform. The Salesforce Developer II is expected to perform day to day activities while staying in compliance according to corporate standards and maintaining professionalism at all times.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Utilize your SFDC development knowledge to create new systems that enable business at the highest level
  • Develop enterprise applications utilizing some of the latest tools and platforms
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Code using Salesforce's APEX, Visual Force and Lightning Web Components
  • Integrate systems on the Mulesoft Platform to deliver data to disparate systems
  • Create products on the scalable Heroku platform
  • Participate in scrum, sprint planning, demos, and other SAFe Agile related meetings
  • Provide architectural input during sprints, taking into account both declarative and programmatic strategies, ensuring a sound and stable final solution
  • Act as a mentor to the Salesforce Developer I
  • Maintaining data integrity and security by adhering to GM Financial and Salesforce data security policies and procedures

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Research various internal requests to determine appropriate course of action and follow through to resolution
  • Maintain thorough understanding of data and information resources and technical requirement documentation
  • Utilize technical aspects within Salesforce such as Apex triggers, classes and batch jobs Develop enhancements to Salesforcecom and related systems
  • Provide ongoing technical support of existing integrated Salesforce applications
  • Analyze and identify technical needs within Salesforce and Website integration
  • Lead the design for integration of SFDC Design and develop solutions in Visualforce and Apex Conduct technical process, design and build reviews with the superiors
  • Leadership of technical objectives relevant to implementation, design for specifications and running technical architecture meetings
  • Evangelize best practice implementation experience of SFDC and Forcecom implementations
  • Conduct "Whiteboard" sessions to define roadmap of implementations with key business and IT owners and lead meetings to derive key requirements and demonstrate potential solutions with SFDC
  • Meet expectations and deliverables on time Be a self-starter and operate as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
  • May require Salesforcecom reporting, business processes, administration and user support



Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as well as Cognos and SAS
  • Basic knowledge of statistics, finance, and consumer auto lending
  • Working knowledge of GM Financial/AmeriCredit
  • Problem solving - Work well with complex issues and solve complicated situations
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to work as part of a team

  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong business decision-making ability
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Effective written and verbal presentation skills
  • Able to work with minimal supervision


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5-7 years of web design and development required


Experience

  • 3-5 years of object oriented programming experience required
  • Salesforce experience required
  • 3-5 years of web development preferred
  • Computer Science or Management Information experience preferred
