Job Description:

The Practice Director plays a key and vital leadership role for both our project teams and clients. In this role, the Practice Director will have accountability for the delivery-focused practice, including driving quality, sales, recruiting, account management, consulting, technical design, and all operational aspects, which are broken down into 4 main categories: Practice Ownership, Project Delivery, Employee Management, and Sales.

Key Responsibilities Include
Practice Ownership:

  • Drive overall Practice Growth through a combination of business development, oversight of delivery work, strategic planning, and thought leadership
  • Manage engagement risk & project economics including planning and budgeting, defining deliverable content, and ensuring buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client
  • Work cross functionally with Project Management, Engineering, and Senior Leadership teams to collectively participate in developing strategies (sales, project, resourcing, etc.), creation of best practices, problem solving, people/culture management, resource planning & allocation, interviewing/hiring, culture, and more
  • Support Company initiatives, including, but not limited to, participation in internal operational initiatives, contributions to identified Centers of Excellence, and development of Company IP

Project Delivery:

  • Serve as an Executive Sponsor OR Senior Consultant on projects, including discovery, functional consulting, and developing solutions that meet business needs in a clear and cohesive manner
  • Lead project implementations & assume responsibility for the success of the project end-to-end management, oversight of delivery work, and strategic positioning/guidance
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on thought leadership & best practices for internal operational success, including and providing best practices and standards for declarative buildouts

Employee Management:

  • Schedule and run weekly team and 1:1 meetings with assigned consultants & analysts
  • Act as supervisor for assigned employees being the first point of escalation for personnel related issues
  • Act as a technical mentor, responsible for mentoring employees on best practices related to declarative buildout techniques, best practices, and procedures
  • Develop a succession plan - be committed to consistently identifying opportunities for employees to "level-up", allowing the company to grow from within

Sales:

  • Maintain relationships with identified strategic clients to identify new project needs as they arise
  • Assist in scoping, pre-sales calls, SOW generation, pre-sales activities, as needed.
  • Participate in Marketing-related activities and events designed to help foster Company/Practice growth and relationships
  • Assume responsibility for a set of deliverables & KPIs, including quota, which will be worked on collectively and provided by the VP of Operations & EVP

Experience & Requirements
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills

  • Experience in a key leadership delivery role, with a track record of success building & managing dynamic teams
  • Demonstrated competency & experience with all Salesforce core products
  • Multiple Salesforce Certifications and a minimum of 5+ years' experience on the Salesforce platform
  • Experience managing & delivering multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience successfully leading and owning multiple enterprise strategic projects from end to end
  • Experience providing business/operations/technical consulting to senior leaders of organization from SMB to Enterprise
  • Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environment- ability to manage a delivery team is a must!
  • Strong, dynamic communication skills - both written & verbal - with ability to work cross-functionally and speak to members at any level of an organization (both client & prospect)
  • Ability to log time on a daily basis for client and project reporting needs
  • Positive minded, solutions-oriented approach and outlook is critical
  • Ability to work - and thrive - in a fast-paced, high-growth, innovative environment
  • Prior leadership experience highly desired
  • Salesforce specializations in addition to Core platform a plus!
  • Experience within Financial Services & Banking, highly preferred
  • This position requires a minimum of 20% travel
