You will support business critical and customer facing systems that Axon and our customers depend on every single day. As a Salesforce Billing Solution Architect, you will help to discover and analyze business problems, evaluate incoming requests, gather and document requirements, and recommend world class solutions within the Salesforce Framework. You will become a subject matter expert on our Salesforce Ecosystem and work closely with the business on understanding and fixing key business issues.
In this role you will develop a deep understanding of Axon’s business processes and use that knowledge to enable delivery of innovative solutions to business problems.
As a Solution Architect, you will own the integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our Business Partners, and an effective mentor for the other Salesforce professionals on the team. You will need a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions.
You will bring substantial experience in designing and implementing Salesforce Billing, CPQ and related applications. You are adept at translating business requirements into best practice solutions using Salesforce Billing & CPQ, along with the suite of Salesforce products and 3rd party applications.


What You’ll Do
Location: Remotely from USA AND/OR Onsite at our Scottsdale, AZ office
Reports to: Director, Commercial Applications

  • Lead and assist in hands-on solution design and proof-of-concepts, as well as configuration and deployment required to support current and new projects.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on Salesforce CPQ and Billing best practices to Axon’s business stakeholders .
  • Design flexible and scalable solutions and conduct solution reviews with project teams prior to development activities to ensure solution is scalable, is aligned with Axon Project Roadmaps and meets business requirements.
  • Communicate with all levels of organization from executives to individual contributors in sales, marketing pricing, quoting, order management and billing teams.
  • Provide functional oversight and governance of Salesforce projects.
  • Contribute to the growth of Axon’s Salesforce capability by mentoring and developing other team members, and serving as an active contributor to knowledge base. For the right candidate, this role could be an opportunity to lead a team of Salesforce professionals.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on Billing & CPQ experience, the majority specifically within Salesforce.
  • Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification, credentials of current certification must be provided.
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce product suite, specifically Revenue Cloud and Sales Cloud.
  • Proven understanding of and demonstrable experience with complex & highly customized Salesforce configurations.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and supporting high-volume, real-time integrations with external systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with business partners to define requirements, outcomes, and set expectations on tasks that you and the team will be responsible for executing
  • Experience defining solutions to complex problems in Salesforce, and delivering comprehensive solutions that enable achievement of our business partners’ desired outcomes
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Any additional Advanced Admin, Designer, Business Analyst Certifications are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability as a self-learner via Salesforce Trailheads
  • Experience working within medium to large public enterprises
  • Experience as a power user and/or Business Analyst within an ERP system
  • Experience as a software developer (Apex preferred)
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and work management software (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Benefits listed herein may vary depending on the nature of your employment and the location where you work.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 110,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 180,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 150,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 220,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
