Salesforce Architect
The Salesforce Architect will help us build the next-generation lending platform. The Architect will own and manage the core relation with Salesforce’s ISV technical teams. The Q2 Lending Platform team is designing and building foundational components and services which enable Q2 engineers & partners to easily build, operate, and scale the many services which empower our customers. The Architect plays a critical role within Cloud Lending’s Product organization, serving as a strategic advisor and Q2 Lending platform expert to the company’s largest, most complex enterprise customers. Our ideal candidate is someone with a self-motivated tinkering spirit and eager to learn and engineer solutions using a mix of open-source technologies and Salesforce technologies.
Q2 Lending is a division of Q2 that offers a cloud-based, end-to-end lending platform to deliver innovation to the global lending community. Unlike legacy technology platforms that are expensive to maintain and prevent agile response to market conditions, Q2 clients that leverage Q2 Lending are able to take back control of their business by quickly implementing, extending, and digitizing the entire lending lifecycle. Clients include banks, traditional finance companies, online lenders, and marketplace platforms.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
10+ years of related work experience designing multi-tier enterprise solutions
5+ years of experience on the Salesforce Platform including Process Builder, Workflows, Lightning App Builder
5+ years of experience with Salesforce Development including Lightning Components, APEX, SOQL, and SOSL
3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Bulk & SOAP, REST APIs, batch process, Integration Security
2 - 4 years of hands-on experience with DevOps or Git source control and CI/CD
3+ years of experience with Web Application Development including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
2+ years of experience working with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Einstein, Pardot, Marketing Cloud preferred.
2+ years of experience in banking and/or lending solutions preferred
Demonstrable experience with scalable solution development on the Salesforce platform is critical
Salesforce certifications prior to joining a plus, Certified Application Architect preferred
Experience with key areas of enterprise architecture, including integration technologies, single sign-on, reporting, batch processing, etc.
Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall implementation methodologies.
Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Proven results leading and overseeing customer and/or partner success stories in the following domains: front- and back-end solution architecture, development and release management strategies, change management, and direct leadership in designing solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
Guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value.
Polished speaker with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization.
A particular desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstratable experience delivering solutions as part of a global (distributed) team
Ability to mentor individuals and explain technical decisions
THE WORK YOU'LL DO
Serve as a Trusted Advisor, drive conversations with our internal and external partners’ Architects and Business SMEs armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as Security, Performance, Development Process, and Application Governance.
Advise and mentor diverse teams, which include internal teams across the organization and partner ecosystem in technical and functional product development aspects
Contribute to product vision while advising and articulating strategies on enabling technologies including the Salesforce and Q2 Platforms.
Provide guidance on the application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Salesforce Platform education.
Drive the creation of architecture diagrams, application, and technical design documents which leverage Q2 Lending best practices and effectively integrate Q2 Lending products with Salesforce’s infrastructure and products.
Maintains abreast of Salesforce’s latest releases and features and formulates product design options to drive adoption across the Q2 Lending platform.
Troubleshoot issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution. Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements from a senior level.
Review and correct product direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions extendable and maintainable going forward.
Identification and proactive management of risk areas and commitment to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.
Build relationships with business partners, internal and external, and contributing to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single customer engagement.
Contribute to the growth and maturity of the product by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives, leveraging junior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical Q2 teams, customer, and partner colleagues.
Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
