Siemens is looking for a Sales Development Application Engineer for the Medium Voltage Motors and MV Drives business in Houston, TX

Position Overview:

Siemens is in search of an early career sales professional interested in a developmental role focused on learning the market, applications, how to quote and sell medium voltage motors, medium voltage variable frequency drive (VFD) technologies and services to End Users, OEM's, EPC's and distributors. Upon successful completion of the learning process, the successful candidate will be placed in a Regional Account Manager role with responsibility for an assigned customer base. This position will be reporting to the Regional Sales Director and will be based in Houston.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an engaging candidate that will be chosen for this key role and will be responsible for studying and learning the MV Motor and Drives market. The product portfolio is primarily passionate about medium voltage motors, medium voltage electrical drives (VFD's) and services and may include solutions as incorporated into integrated drive systems.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
ul

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 + years of proven ability in selling medium voltage motors, medium voltage electrical drives (VFD's) and services
  • Experience in the use of CRM tools to supervise selling activities
  • Experience working with channel sales resources including distributors and reps to grow market share
  • Travel: 30%


  • Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

    ul

  • BS Industrial Distribution, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree highly preferred
  • Basic solid understanding of integrated drive solutions (motor, drive, system solution, etc.)
  • Basic experience selling to large OEM's and End Users
  • Basic understanding of the industrial vertical markets in pumps and compression.
