Job Description:
ECS is looking for a Network Automation Engineer providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM!
The VMWare Automation Engineer position will be supporting the Sandia National Labs contract and will be located in Albuquerque, NM. Organization is responsible for managing the daily activities of critical IT services. This includes working in collaboration with the SNL Facilities team in several 24×7 data center environments to ensure all critical systems are operational supporting the mission of the IT infrastructure.
DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITES/TASKS INCLUDE:

• Implementing solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Eliminating defects, errors and problems with product or software development.
• Identify opportunities for automation within software processes.
• Creating automation that meet the clients' needs and specifications, testing the network to ensure that it is performing as designed.
• Design and execute QA tests using scripts that automatically test functionality.
• Run tests for databases, systems, networks, applications, hardware and software.
• Implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Provide Linux server administration plan, design, specify, deploy and maintain server systems.
• Create and maintain maintenance routines to support operational business needs and continuity of services.
• Support the clients' cyber policy in all design, specification, deployment and maintenance of systems.

Required Skills:

• Experience with VMware/vRA/vRO
• Experience with Powershell scripting
• Experience with JavaScript
• Experience with variety of programming languages, software, or tools to develop regular or ad-hoc queries from large data-sets
• Experience with network communication protocols, and other related protocols.
• Associate degree with 4 years' experience or 7 years related professional experience.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to implement solutions integrating Rest application program interface (API) based web services.
• Experience working a Data Center environment
• Experience with automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, including file management, scripting, editing and security.
