Job Description:
ECS is looking for a Senior C/C++ Programmer, providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM! This position is approved for remote work.
The Senior C/C++ Programmer will provide IT support to Mission Solutions and Design department. The Mission Solutions and Design department exists to work with internal/external customers to design, develop and deploy software systems to national security missions.
Day-to-day tasks:

• Develop C/C++/Python code
• Discuss requirements with end users
• Document all work requests in trouble ticketing system
• Test and debug programs written in C/C++ code
• Prepare required documentation
• Participate in all status/team meetings

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field plus eight (8) years relevant experience; OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Strong software development skills in C/C++
• At least two (2) years Unix/Linux experience
• Experience working in a collaborative environment
• Uncleared to Start, with ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in Unix operating systems
• Experience with software development in Matlab or Python
• Experience in object-oriented programming
• Experience with Git software version control
• Experience working with large, established codebases
• Experience in UI design and data visualization with associated UI tools
• Experience in software and algorithm development for both real-time systems and modeling & simulation efforts in NG&C
• Experience with Agile software development practices
