Veeva Systems is looking for Release Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. This is a hands-on position to deliver customer success with each new release.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with Engineering and Technical Operations to support release and change management process
- Execute and manage deployments to QA/Dev/Production environments
- Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
- Collaborate with key Development and Quality Assurance stakeholders in developing and executing a robust test and release process
- Facilitate resolution of deployment problems with Development, Quality Assurance and Technical Operations
- Proactively identify, recommend and implement software release process improvements to maximize efficiency
- Create and maintain Release Deployment documentations
- Drive end to end release approval documentations
- 5+ years of solid, hands-on work experience in release engineer activities
- Proficient with CI tools such as Jenkins
- Proficient with Linux
- Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell scripts, etc.
- Experience with source code version control systems such as Git and branching strategy
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Engineering and Technical Operations teams
- Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree
