What you'll do

  • Understand long-term product portfolio, investigate relevant technologies, and develop prototypes and proofs-of-concept
  • Research emerging technologies and their readiness for adoption into production products
  • Steer product architecture and technology use to align with future product and technology needs and roadmaps
  • Develop innovative prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and communicate what is possible. Work with product teams to ensure new technologies can be supported in global products.
  • Build tools to automate, simplify, or eliminate work
  • Develop approaches and solutions to integrate data from internal systems as well as from Cytiva Digital Products.
  • Support architects and product owners to plan and prioritize product features
  • Develop customer-delighting features for IoT products
  • Provide guidance to junior developers as needed
  • Stay current on technologies, technology trends and directions, and best practices. Evaluate potential technologies for use within the enterprise.


Who you are

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field with 20+ years experience or M.S. Degree with 15+ years experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of containers and best practices in their use deployed to edge infrastructure
  • Experience with AWS Greengrass, Sitewise, and Lamba functions
  • Familiarity with Industrial protocols such as OPC-UA, Modbus, and EtherNetIP
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Experience with test automation
  • Experience with Agile Development, Web Services, and DevOps
  • Awareness of Industry 4.0 Best Practices, RAMI 4.0 and Asset Administration Shells
