Quality Engineering Manager

We’re looking for a Quality Engineering (QE) Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of our core Quality Engineering team, you will be managing and building a team of exceptional quality engineers. Working from our offices across North America, you will lead a team of exceptional QE to implement and develop testing strategies to ensure delivery of predictable, high quality experiences. You will be tasked with strategically organizing your QE team to offer the best in class coverage while also working collaboratively with partner teams including Software Development, Product Managers, Release, Tools, and Customer Support. What you'll do:
Drive Quality Engineering efforts for internal and external product releases
Implement and enhance QE methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high quality experiences
Drive incident prioritization and work collaboratively with Engineering, Product, and Design
Guide the design and execution of testing strategies across various core products
Drive scalable, effective, and timely execution of test plans by both building and utilizing available tooling and automation
Partner and influence key release decisions based on risk analyses and product readiness
Lead and grow a team of exceptional Quality Engineers of various levels
Provide creative ideas and solutions to technical quality challenges across engineering
Gather, analyze, and report team and project quality metrics which demonstrate business value and continuous improvements
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, adjacent fields or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of software and/or hardware QA
3+ years of Engineering Management experience
A solid understanding of software product life cycles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a distributed product-team environment
Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
Experience testing iPhone, Android, and web applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a team of 7+ quality engineers of various levels
Passion for quality in mobile and/or web applications
Solid foundational skills and understanding of object oriented programming
Automation experience with iOS, Android, or Web Platforms
