Quality Engineer
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Release Engineering Team based in Plantation, FL / Boston, MA / Seattle, WA / Minneapolis, MN. The ideal candidate succeeds in a fast-paced environment, is self-motivated, and has a passion for both business and technology. You have experience in iOS or Android testing (or both!). You work independently but understand the importance of teamwork and mentorship. You need to be comfortable contributing to every aspect of testing a consumer app - whether that's exploratory, automation, or improving build systems. What You'll Do:
- Contribute directly to Chewy's native app test automation suites in Kotlin/Swift.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test automation for new and existing features.
- Improve and evolve quality standards and processes.
- Develop, maintain, and execute end to end test plans.
- Evaluate and implement new test frameworks and patterns.
- Monitor production quality systems and triage defects.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs (REST, GraphQL).
What You'll Need:
- A history contributing to the quality of at-scale consumers facing mobile apps.
- A strong grasp on the development, testing, and release lifecycles of mobile apps.
- The ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas in a distributed team environment.
- Intimate familiarity with mobile development, CI/CD, and automation frameworks such as XCTest, Espresso, or similar.
- Experience with modern architectural patterns, dependency injection, and engineering best practices.
- Passionate about learning and building with the latest and greatest in mobile technologies.
- Working knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectural patterns, trends, and emerging technologies.
- A sound understanding of Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and continuous integration.
- Work well in a distributed team environment.
