TITLE: Quality Assurance Lead
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
JOB SUMMARY: Lead, plan, build, execute and support Business Analyst and Quality Analyst (QA) activities for large scale data warehousing and data quality projects. Collaborate with and monitor efforts of onshore and offshore resources. Participate in architecture review, code review and design review meetings. Review conceptual design documents, source to target mappings and the data transformation logic. Utilize Informatica and Teradata for ETL testing, data validation, and troubleshooting data skew issues. Perform test data management. Migrate code in lower environment and debugging source code issues and verifying logs on UNIX servers. Utilize Big data testing on Hadoop Platform. Provide high-level test estimates and discuss quality
assurance test approach with functional teams. Work with Infrastructure team for Firewalls, SFTP Accounts and access to ETL tools. Work with Data Model Architects for data objects creation in lower environments. Develop high level quality assurance test strategy and SQL scripts. Conduct peer reviews to review test cases and provide feedback to ensure proper test coverage. Create synthetic data for system integration testing. Develop Hive queries (HQL) for data validation effort on Data Lake. Execute ETL jobs to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data in Hadoop platform and move data to Teradata for business reporting. Schedule and monitor jobs in scheduling tool including Tidal or 1A. Develop SHELL scripts to automate data validation effort on Data Lake and Teradata. Analyze issues uncovered in QA with the functional teams on weekly basis. Able to assess issues uncovered in higher and lower environments and create RCA document. Collaborate with stakeholders and present test scenarios and issues uncovered in testing. Articulate risks and complete QA Signoff formalities.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience utilizing Informatica and Teradata for ETL testing, data validation, and troubleshooting data skew issues; in test data management; migrating code in lower environment and debugging source code issues and verifying logs on UNIX servers. 3 years experience in Big data testing on Hadoop Platform.
