Job Overview:

As a member of the Quality Assurance team reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation test scripts, as well as writing and executing new manual tests as part of our quality assurance process. 

We are part of a fast-paced, agile product development team working toward more application test coverage and continuous integration within our testing process.  You’ll have the opportunity to test our application in order to help ensure quality and identify problems before releases and during the development life-cycle.  If you have a passion for continuous improvement, writing good tests, finding bugs, and improving product quality, keep reading! 

How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Designing, creating and executing automation scripts
  • Supporting, maintaining, and enhancing all test case automation related activities during iterative development, system testing, and regression testing
  • Writing and executing manual tests for bugs and large features
  • Creating and maintaining test plans, cases, scenarios/scripts, in compliance with defined QA standards and methodologies
  • Establishing and configuring testing environments for executing test cases and scenarios
  • Participating in the development, deployment, and administration of QA process, tools, and supporting technologies
  • Reproducing and looking into issues brought up by other departments
  • Performing weekly releases by packaging code, running smoke tests, and running automated regression tests
  • Performing exploratory testing throughout the application
  • Writing and executing tests while focusing on customer experience
  • Being an advocate for our customers when testing and when issues arise
  • This position will start out doing roughly 70% manual testing, and will move to 50% manual testing

What You Bring to This Role

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with software testing of web-based applications using a structured testing methodology
  • 2+ years of experience with automated functional testing tools
  • 2+ years of experience developing with programming languages
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced product development team
  • Familiar with Agile/Lean methodologies
  • Familiar with test methodologies and writing test cases and plans
  • Familiar with at least one automated testing tool
  • Passionate about software quality and a great customer experience
  • An organized professional capable of managing your time, tasks, and priorities without daily guidance

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $80,000 to $100,000, eligibility for an annual bonus, and participation in the Founder’s Pool program.
