Job Description
Seeking smart, self-motivated, well-rounded Quality Assurance Analysts who excel at identifying defects, solving problems and have a quality first mindset. Must value teamwork and communication. Will work closely with other Quality Assurance Analysts assigned to other teams to ensure consistency and reliability of manual testing efforts. Will also work closely with Software Automation Engineers to identify candidates for automation and ensure automation adequately covers software features. Must be adept at learning new technologies quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, design, document and perform manual tests for software and hardware products
Identify appropriate parameters, functions, and data to test and validate development
Identify, reproduce and report actual or potential product defects
Provide detailed configuration, reproduction steps, and descriptions for defect tracking
Asist in the diagnosis and replication of product failures
Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team
Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
Identify areas for improvement to enhance the product's efficiency
Help establish, document and enforce standards, procedures, and specifications for manual testing.
Work closely with Automation Engineers to assess test coverage, and to triage test failures.
Work closely with a distributed global team of engineers and QA analysts.
Collaborate designs with team members in order to find the solution that best fits the requirements.
Consult with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
Work with support to resolve customer issues as needed
Desired Experience:
Experience designing, documenting and executing manual test cases
Extensive knowledge of software and database testing including designing and manipulating test data
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Diligent and meticulous
Proficient on Linux and Windows platforms
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
1+ years of related experience
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
