About the role:
As a Quality Assurance Test Engineer, you will work with bleeding edge technology as you automate/test innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve testing software applications that drive test automation , identifying key requirements and technical specifications and interacting with engineering groups.
Our team:
You will be a crucial member of a SCRUM team focused on creating/running simulated real-time payment transaction processing system . We are looking for a team player that can define a roadmap and put their vision into actionable features and help drive the team toward meeting their goals .
What you will be doing:

  • Testing on payment device terminals.
  • Functional testing, Integration Testing
  • Reviewing progress with IT leadership, technical teams and internal customers.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, managing and executing audit processes.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to IT teams on quality assurance methodologies.
  • Making recommendations for improvements to the software development process.
  • Designing and monitoring performance metrics program for quality improvement.
  • Develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures and quality standards.
  • Review and analyze new installed build performance indicators to locate code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes.
  • Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system
  • Participate in the complete software design process (requirements, design, implementation, and test)
  • Manage lifecycle expectations to minimize risk and address company needs
  • Work with development to triage existing bugs and ensure that bugs, enhancements, and change requests follow the established life cycle.
  • Lead the execution and coordination of day to day, and manage tasks from internal and external customers.
  • Perform test coverage analysis of test plans and schedules and use this information to prioritize testing
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for new personnel
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems
  • Install software/hardware to support the testing process


What you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in test automation
  • A bachelor's in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related discipline, or the equivalent experience
  • Proven QA experience supporting functional, integration, automation, and user acceptance testing
  • Hands on expertise with a SOAPUI, Postman or other API test tool.
  • Hands-on experience with API automation
  • Experience working in a .NET, Azure environment, SQL.
  • Experience working on an Agile Scrum team
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more end-to-end systems lifecycle development methodologies as well as quality management and improvement.
  • A background with financial services industry practices, regulations and processes.
  • Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies.
  • NET knowledge (ASP.net, C#, VB.NET, web services, IIS)
  • Proficient with SQL and writing SQL queries
  • Experience working with offshore teams across various time zones
  • Strong written and oral communications
  • Excellent Troubleshooting, Listening and Problem Solving Skills
  • Well organized and self-motivated
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills


Added Bonus if you have:

  • Experience with Ingenico, Telium or Verifone devices is a plus.
  • Automation background, robotic automation software a plus
  • Experience with Point of Sale, EMV and payment testing experience
  • Knowledge of card brands
  • Experience in functional areas such as payments, API, point of sale devices
  • Experience working on Card Present Payments
