  • A QN project engineer manages quality notification workflow and closure.

An electronic quality notification (eQN) is raised when a manufactured component does not conform to blueprint requirements, and an engineering review is required to determine if it still fulfills engineering and customer requirements.

The eQN project engineer is responsible for the swift execution of all assigned tasks relating to the eQN process. This includes, but is not limited to, loading new eQNs, exporting QN data, initiating engineering tasks with delivery teams, reviewing and summarizing engineering dispositions, and closing out engineering review tasks.

Duties include the following:
• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and own the assigned projects
• Track deliverables and report regularly on project status
• Interact with engineers and client to ensure timely delivery of parts
• Identify potential delays in eQN process and devise solutions
• Cooperate and communicate effectively with customer and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
• Continuous process improvements/cost savings

Preferred Qualifications
• College and/or working experience as a Manufacturing engineer or design engineer or project engineer in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Working Experience in an environment with a focus on quick turn-around time
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Adaptable to change
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Advanced MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and VBA macros
• Familiarity with SAP a plus
• Familiarity with Aerospace and Jet Engines is a plus
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary group of engineers
