Description

The individual in this role will be assisting in all testing activities related to the building of technology solutions delivering business value to our stakeholders. To be successful, the candidate must be driven and well-organized. It is essential for the individual to be self-motivated and tenacious, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and lead the testing team to complete tasks in alignment with the schedule. Management may look to this individual to provide leadership during software releases on an on-going basis and to ensure the completion of all tasks and activities performed by the broader testing team. This individual is expected to build relationships with the business and impacted testing teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for test planning and execution across multiple initiatives within an agile development line.
• Works with team and project managers to meet established target dates and completion of activities/deliverables under changing conditions
• Actively participate in sprint cadence meetings such as stand ups, backlog grooming/estimation and retrospectives.
• Mentor and lead other members of the testing team.
• Understand and follow SDLC and Agile processes.
• Collaborate with the team in the analysis and review of business objectives and requirements to ensure requirements are testable and have adequate test coverage.
• Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications.
• Review test strategy and test cases with team for peer review and sign off.
• Conduct testing using manual and/or automated test processes and document test results.
• Assign defect severity and manage defects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with team on defect analysis and triage.
• Create test status reports for assigned projects
• Provide test results and test summary deliverables to ensure production implementation readiness.
• Coordinate testing efforts and sign off with downstream impacted teams, including UAT.
• Maintain the regression test bed and update as needed.
• Participate in off hour production release validation.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years' experience in data warehouse testing, including ETL (DataStage & PySpark).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data warehouse testing, including ETL (DataStage & PySpark).
• Knowledge of Snowflake or other cloud based data warehouse platforms.
• Strong aptitude in both business and technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to explain system issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships
• High motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Proficient in Azure Dev Ops or other tools.
• Experience working in mainframe testing
• Experience working in BI report testing (preferably Tableau).

Please Note: This position can be filled with a Remote employee with the expectation that your working hours will be on the Eastern time zone.
