The QA Scientist II is a key team member in a high compliance dynamic quality environment. This position is in the quality operations team and reports to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance in Miami, FL and will be a hybrid role. This role is a key team member in the Post Market Surveillance (PMS), Field Action (FA), Stop Shipment (SS) Quality teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn and lead Danaher Business Systems (DBS) activities such as Daily Management, Visual Project Management (VPM), and Kaizens.
  • Partner with cross functional areas to support post market quality processes related to Post Market Surveillance, Field Action Assessments, and Stop Shipment processes.
  • Implement the Stop Shipment process as it relates to quality stop shipments.
  • Actively collaborate with cross-functional key stakeholders in support of post market surveillance planning and reporting.
  • Work with CAPAs (Corrective and Preventative Actions)
  • Develop strong understanding of the BEC quality system.


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience in a technical field (science or engineering) or compliance (complaints, customer service, quality or regulatory).
  • Ability to work cross functionally, prioritize and flex in dynamic changing tasks/environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality management systems, preferably within medical device.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Demonstrated capability to problem solve and analyze data with critical thinking skills.


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Medical device industry experience highly preferred.
  • Post market quality such as complaint handling, CAPA, field actions.
  • QMS training from ASQ, AAMI, or other accredited organization.
