The Role

Brandlive is looking for a  QA Manager to join our growing team! As a manager, you’ll help guide the team technically, helping us make the best decisions for the incredible products we are creating every day. We’re a small team that cares about collaboration, encourages curiosity, celebrates technical excellence and is driven by careful attention to detail and planning for the future.  We believe diversity of perspective and experience are key to building great technology and a thriving team. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of QA Engineers and guide the team on alignment of QA tasks and initiatives.
  • Develop strategy, process, and roadmap for testing, ensuring progress and results.
  • Become a product expert and fully understand the perspective of the end users, applying this knowledge to inform how and what is tested.
  • Communicate actionable feedback and state of the applications to developers and product team and sign off on releases alongside other stakeholders.
  • Own QA processes to enable the QA department to scale efficiently, both in people and work.
  • Improve our process to ensure the best quality possible within the constraints of the business.
  • Create and maintain processes and repositories in efficient, clear, and constructive manners.

Qualifications 

  • You lead, inspire, collaborate, make tough decisions, and get things done within high growth SaaS software companies.
  • You know what testing best practices and software engineering processes look like and know how to foster an environment that creates them.
  • You have the ability to do both long term thinking and short term planning.
  • You have a deep understanding of testing strategies, automation, and web-based applications.
  • You develop and lead high-performing sprint teams using Agile, while driving improvements in velocity, quality, and timelines.
  • You work strongly alongside engineering managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure products are strategically well tested.
  • You are a project leader driving quality work all while finding creative solutions to problems.
  • You love people and people love working for you.
  • You are execution focused with an ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Most of all, you are high energy and enthusiastic about Brandlive’s mission, team, and potential.
