Position Summary

We are searching for talent who thrive in a remote, total ownership environment. In this role, you will join a collaborative team of engineers. We are looking for talented QA Engineers to increase the speed at which we are able to debug, deploy and add features to the growing platform of products. Responsibilities

  • Conduct manual testing on both new and legacy applications or new features that have not yet been automated, with or without the use of formal test cases/scripts; Perform Black Box and White Box testing
  • Review and understand testing requirements, process workflow, and report test results in JIRA defect management tool
  • Analyze and dissect system requirements and technical specifications to create and maintain comprehensive end-to-end test plans and test cases for product enhancements, according to project requirements; responsible for executing the plan and ensuring that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities; provide input from testing perspective to assist in estimations and review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Provide timely, thorough, and concise updates for area of responsibility; Identify areas of risk and properly communicate them to the lead
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track defects, and help implement process improvements to minimize defects
  • Assist the development team in debugging and replicating issues
  • Research, Design, and Implement automation framework for automated testing using tools like TestProject

Experience

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • Programming experience (Python or Javascript preferred)
  • 5+ years experience with UI testing for Mobile (iOS/Android) and Web-based applications
  • Self-motivated, especially with respect to learning new software tools and best practices in software quality assurance.
  • Startup mentality: self-starter, proactive, flexible.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Knowledge of basic programming, software installation, and network configuration
  • Ability to test complex multi-tiered web-based systems, mobile applications and browser extensions
