National Tax Technology Consulting

The Role - The Quality Assurance Automation Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, enhancing and executing Automation test plans, test scripts & test methodologies to ensure thorough testing takes place for meeting all designated software specifications and compliance. This role is eligible to work fully virtual out of any U.S. city.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain automation test cases to ensure that software meets development, usability, functional, and security standards and additionally meets defined requirements for the software.
  • Assist in various types of application testing such as manual, regression and performance testing using our testing tools through comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Examine and document all testing results and assist in identifying reasons for why actual results do not match expected testing results.
  • Attend Project/Team meetings and contribute feedback based on testing results and status on project deliverables
  • Create an Automation Test Plan and conduct a Test Plan walkthrough for project team.
  • Assist in setting up and executing usability testing and user acceptance testing, as needed.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 8 years of QA experience or related work experience and
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes for software application testing
  • Understanding of basic Accounting or Business processes
  • Knowledge of designated testing tool suite such as Quality Center / Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Well organized and disciplined in following process
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment
  • At least 4 years of real working experience with web-based projects
  • Knowledge in SQL queries
  • Experience in working with REST APIs, understanding of Soap APIs
  • Experience in API Testing and its automation tools like Postman.
  • Understanding of Swagger API Platform
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS or JQuery
  • Experience in working with automation testing tools like Selenium, WebDriverIO
  • Knowledge of bug life cycle
  • Knowledge of SDLC
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban


Preferred qualifications that may vary by candidate:

  • Experience with version control systems GIT, VSTS / Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with web automation testing tools (e.g. Selenium Webdriver)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. jMeter)
  • Quality Assurance certification from an accredited program
