Overview
We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Analyst or Test Engineer to join our Web Development scrum team! You will work with a team of designers, front and backend developers as well as product owners to ensure that all new features and updates are ready for release. The ideal candidate is eager to learn the software development lifecycle and associated tools that we employ and has excellent attention to detail. Detailed documentation skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Test all Development and Development Operations tickets as they are completed in staging environments. Determine if they are ready to be released or need more work.
- Complete testing post-release on production sites to ensure that everything is still functional.
- Document all test results in a precise, step-by-step format.
- Build out regression test plans for each site/product to perform on a regular basis and after major changes.
- Complete Daily QA on major sites to detect issues prior to being reported by end users and ensure that basic functionality is intact.
- Use Bamboo to deploy new code to various production instances and be able to roll it back if necessary.
- Develop versioning and releases according to best practices learned with experience.
- Work closely with developers to understand new code and intended functionality. Use that knowledge to write appropriate test cases.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of quality assurance experience, supporting
high availability, large-scale web applications, and systems. - Strong communication skills and the ability to document test plans and cases into logical steps with explanations of intent.
- Ability to work independently, open and eager to learn,
and willing to adopt new business challenges. - Ability to build test plans that cover all major functions of a website or application.
- Familiar with the following technologies:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- React / Next.js
- Laravel and PHP
(not a working knowledge, this is not a development position) - A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related fields.
- Experience with test automation and scripting is a plus.
